Kat's Christmas (Book) Wishlist

There's a ritual in our family.  Everyone does up a list and tells everyone else what to buy for them.  So I basically know the majority of what I'm going to get for Christmas.  My rule is that Christmas time is my time to support the publishing industry. So my entire Christmas list consists of books.  Lots and lots of books.

These are those books:

A good selection! BURN BRIGHT has been on my TBR list forever, but I hear it's only been published in Oz. :(

I'm all about supporting the publishing industry at Christmas time! My list this year: George's new book(Dance with Dragons), Christopher Paolini's new book (Inheritance) and both of Kristin Cashore's books (Fire & Graceling). I may add Finnikin if I like it as much as I do thus far. My other big item to support publishing (of all types, this time) is my new Kindle touch. Early Christmas present. Mwhahahaha.

Elizabeth - surely you can get it on Amazon though? It's well worth reading! I was very endeared by Burn Bright!

Kate - I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm so jealous of your kindle! I was supposed to get an iPad2 for Christmas but Mr Kennedy was in a car accident and thus that is now off the cards.

First of all, soooo sorry about your husband! That's awful, and I hope he's okay!

Secondly, you may not have the budget for an iPad2, but the new kindle touch is $99 (US) and $79 (US) for the regular. It's so small and portable, almost as good as a real book. I'm totally in love over here. :)

My mom always makes fun of my Christmas list, because she says if Amazon didn't have super saver shipping, she'd have to pay a fortune to have stuff sent through the mail. ;) Of course, she says that, but then she read ALL MY BOOKS, so she really doesn't have any place to complain. hahaha

Oh, he's fine, Elizabeth! But the excess cost us $600 and that was the money he'd saved to buy me an iPad. Now I haz a sad. :(

I suppose I could still read my Galleys on a Kindle but I'd have to transfer my considerable library from ebooks to moby. That would be a bitch.

I get made fun of too for my books. They think I'm a crazy book lady. I tried to tell them once that people on the internet LIKED hearing me talk about books. That just made them laugh more. They totally didn't believe me.

I seriously hope you're enjoying your new kindle! I'm really jealous!

Where have you been finding Angel Arias? I've looked in so many shops and can't find it anywhere!
