I guess I probably shouldn't be a YA writer...Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03593882598668421250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6725255356165847450.post-43437700481894276092012-01-05T02:40:36.225-08:002012-01-05T02:40:36.225-08:00Thanks Amelia!

I just felt the way the over all novel was actually written - well, there's no way a person beyond high school mindset really could empathize.

I mean, she has a break down because her mother makes her wear a skirt. Who does that? What sane adult actually thinks like that?Kat Kennedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05768408902595007324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6725255356165847450.post-70694621000997710352012-01-03T18:10:26.046-08:002012-01-03T18:10:26.046-08:00Hey, I should just copypaste what Amelia said. - B...Hey, I should just copypaste what Amelia said. - By the way, I'm 18 and I disliked YA when I was younger, too.

I don't know if it is like that for you, but from my experience, it's like that:

I like books written for Young Adults. That's why I rant so much when I read Hush, Hush or "book" like that. Because I think this age group deserves more. (Same goes for genres like PNR or UF. I love them, I just don't like what authors do with them)

I think 18 is as Young Adult as it gets, so there goes the "You are too old" argument. Someone else said "If you know you won't like it, don't read the genre." But then I might miss great books like Divergent.

So, what am I to do? *le sigh*

And to have said it anyway: I love this review. I now know that I do not need to read this series. *phew*Patriciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00198314178150554485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6725255356165847450.post-85442515665747762412012-01-03T17:21:22.024-08:002012-01-03T17:21:22.024-08:00I love this review, Kat!

This seems too 'stereotypical YA' for my taste so I haven't bothered with it, but I loved reading your review because you always have a classy-but-hilarious way of making a point.Ameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14767350676055319412noreply@blogger.com
